Everything you need to know about the Anker 757 PowerHouse Portable Power Station

Even though you get an awesome 5-year warranty when you buy from Anker, $979.99 is still a lot of money.

So what are all the features that you get when you invest in a power station like the Anker 757 PowerHouse?

Let me share the reasons why I recommend having a power station like this at home or on a camping trip.

It has 6x AC Power outlets(with 2400W power surge), USB ports, and more

If you’re like me, then you probably have more than one portable gadget.

There’s not a day that goes by when I’m not using my phone, digital camera, laptop, apple watch, Garmin Fenix GPS running watch, iPad, or even my headlamp for night running.

Yikes, I just realized how many gadgets I have as I started listing them all off, lol. I am a content creator though, so they’re pretty essential devices for my workflow.

Anyway, my point is that if I’m traveling in our campervan, on a camping trip, or simply trying to navigate blackout situations on a workday then I absolutely need a power station that can provide contact power to my devices that need it.

Having 6 AC outlets with 2400W AC power surge mode is so awesome because I can run devices that require high power consumption like a refrigerator, or an espresso coffee maker at the same time as working on my laptop and charging many other devices.

Anker 757 PowerHouse simultaneous charging

You can draw power from the USB ports at the same time as the AC outlets, which amounts to 13 devices charging simultaneously – which is extremely useful for power-hungry individuals.

If you’re into your gadgets like I am then you probably know that USB-c is rapidly becoming an incredibly popular charging standard.

One of the reasons for this uptake of the USB-C standard is the new European common charger laws coming into play in 2024 which will require all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in the EU to be equipped with a USB Type-C charging port.

From spring 2026, the obligation will extend to laptops.

And this affects the USA because brands like Anker will be less inclined to build two different versions of a product, instead opting for the USB-C option. Yes, this new law will even affect Apple.

The Anker 757 PowerHouse provides ample USB ports including 2x USB-C ports and 4x USB-A ports.

The recharge speed is FAST

The Anker 757 PowerHouse has an exceptionally fast recharge speed whereby it can charge from 0 to 80% in 1 hour, and charging to 100% takes 1.5 hours. That is super fast for a power station with such a large battery capacity.

In fact, the only brand that can keep up with this Anker is the Ecoflow power station range.

If you see on your weather app that inclement weather is inbound, and a possible power outage is on the horizon, then you can take advantage of the fast-charging to get your PowerHouse 757 fully charged from 0% in 1.5 hours.

This fast charging feature comes in handy in so many ways, impromptu adventures spring to mind! Yes you could use the car charger but an AC input source for fast charging at home is always going to give you a faster charge than using the car charging cable and car battery.

It has a power saving mode

Having a power saving mode means that the battery life on the Anker 757 PowerHouse will last much longer because there is a small amount of no load power consumption when the car socket and AC buttons are turned on.

Having power saver mode cuts off this power when there’s now draw from the AC outlets or car socket output.

Power saving mode will automatically prolong standby time and minimize battery damage over time so you don’t have to worry about this yourself.

It has an integrated light bar

The Anker 757 PowerHouse comes with an integrated light bar on the front which is surprisingly useful in a blackout.

A light bar means you won’t have to fumble around trying to plug your devices into the power station when your home lighting goes out in the event of a blackout.

This built-in LED light strip will be there for you when you need it, and surprisingly it’s the LED light that many power station brands don’t include on their devices.

It has a flat top – why’s that good?

PowerHouse 757 flat top design

Most power stations have a handle on top that isn’t flat (or flush), the problem with that is that you can’t place anything like a laptop on top of the power station when space is limited, as it would just slide off.

This might sound like an odd benefit to owning an Anker 757 PowerHouse, but trust me, when you’re camping or living in a small space like a campervan, you need to think outside the box to be able to maximize the use of that space by way of multifunctional gear.

It’s incredibly durable

The 757 PowerHouse is incredibly durable because it has an automotive-grade aluminum frame enclosure to protect its core. It has high corrosion resistance, anti-vibration properties, and resistant to cold and hot temperatures.

The front LCD display is a breath of fresh air

LCD Display is bright and can be read clearly

I love how bright the front display is, and how clearly it shows the stats you actually need to know on your portable power station, like battery percentage for instance, which is front and center of the LCD display.

For example, the most obvious important statistic on the display is the charge status, and it’s huge which means it can be seen at quite a distance away – which is important when you’re camping and don’t plan on sitting by the power station constantly.

The display also shows valuable information like the temperature alarm if it does ever start to overheat on a hot day, active ports, remaining capacity, remaining charge time (and percentage), and input/output power.

The power station’s battery drain is slower than some other power stations

The battery lifespan is a lot longer than some of the other power station brands.

Because the 757 PowerHouse uses premium LFP (LifePO4) batteries, they remain in a healthy state after 3,000 complete charge cycles compared to the industry’s average of 500 cycles (according to Anker, I haven’t tested this myself of course as that would take a few years!).

You charge Anker PowerHouse with solar panels

Anker PowerHouse 757 with Solar Panels

When you buy Anker solar panels (sold separately), you can turn your uninterruptible power supply into a solar generator – meaning you can have endless power. This is perfect for anyone who plans to spend time off-grid camping, road-tripping, or even living in a tiny home.

Solar panels are very useful when you have a power outage at home that lasts a few days – or longer than the battery life of your power station’s current charge, as without solar panels you wouldn’t have any way to charge it, other than your car outlet (if you own a car).

The PowerHouse 757 has an impressive battery capacity but battery life depends on how much demand you’re putting on your power station.

Solar power is a highly sustainable way to generate power, and will save you money over time if you charge your devices this way instead of using your AC outlets at home.

What’s in the box when you buy one?

Anker 757 PowerHouse whats in the box
  • The PowerHouse 757 power station itself.
  • An AC charging cable.
  • A car charging cable to charge the power station from your car outlet.
  • A solar charging cable for connecting up to 3 solar panels.
  • A dustproof bag – is a nice touch!

Accessories you may want to also buy

  • Solar Panels to turn your portable power station into a solar generator that will give you emergency backup power should you need to charge your power station during the day for blackouts at home that last multiple days – it happens!

Where can you buy the PowerHouse 757?

We recommend buying it directly from Anker.com where you will be able to take advantage of our special code that takes $420 off the full price.

You can also find it on Amazon but it’s considerably more expensive there right now as you can only apply our code at anker.com.
