Widely known as popular Italian ski resort Livigno is hosting a world-class skyrunning SkyMarathon® for the third year in a row.
Livigno, or ‘Little Tibet’, as it’s known, is the location of the third race, 34 km long with 2,700m vertical climb. The route weaves through untamed nature in the Stelvio National Park traversing the Swiss/Italian border. There are technical sections on ridges and sections above 3,000m altitude – all in true skyrunning style.

Compulsory Gear for the Livigno SkyMarathon
You must wear your bib number visibly throughout the race.
Be equipped, throughout the duration of the competition, with:
- windproof jacket
- All-mountain trail shoes
- glass or container (flask, water bottle, etc). Given the high naturalistic importance of the context in which the competition takes place, plastic cups will not be distributed to the refreshment points. Take a Reusable Collapsible Soft water cup with you.
The athlete who should be found without this equipment will be sanctioned with a penalty of 10 minutes. In the event of bad weather forecasts, the organization reserves the right to make mandatory other material that will be communicated in advance on the site and on the social media channels of the event, in the days before the event and at the briefing the evening before the race.
