Introducing Senja Shoes: The Versatile Waterproof Vegan Footwear Brand

Senja Shoes is a brand of sustainable footwear built for comfort and style in any environment. The eco-conscious footwear movement is helping to reduce waste and harmful chemicals used in manufacturing but many of these shoes are made for style and not for comfortable, everyday use. This spotlight article is sponsored by Senja Shoes.

Senja Shoes were designed to be worn comfortably at work, in town, on the trail, and even underwater. Made with custom technology and vegan materials, they are lightweight, durable, breathable, and shock absorbent. The brand is also dedicated to fighting the negative environmental effects of the footwear industry. According to Senja Shoes, the production of one pair of these shoes consumes 75% fewer fossil fuels, 45% less electricity, and 4500 fewer liters of water compared to the average pair of sneakers.

These shoes have many features and materials that could change the way footwear is produced and even how we wear shoes (just one pair can replace your sneakers, slippers, hiking boots, and water shoes) due to their versatility.

7 Great Features of Senja Shoes

1. 100% Waterproof

Senja shoes are 100% waterproof inside and out and Senja guarantees that your feet will stay dry whether you’re waterskiing or walking in the rain, and they’re even fit for full submersion. Senja’s flexible material hugs your feet so they remain dry. This can be especially beneficial to outdoor runners who often find themselves at odds with changeable weather and rainy conditions.

Waterproof features also reduce the risk of chaffing and ultimately blisters in wet conditions, as moisture cannot enter the shoe. The upper is made with quick-drying materials and contains air channels for fast drying.

2. All-Terrain

Senja shoes are stylish enough to wear around the office, comfortable enough to wear during all-day (or all-night) romps around the city, and supportive enough for high-impact activities like running and team sports.

Senja’s SoleCast cushioning keeps arches supported and the sides of your feet from slipping. It’s also shock-absorbent to help protect the ankles, shins, and knees of active people.

3. Comfortable

Senja’s SoleCast cushioning, breathable materials, and ultra-soft wool make it a very comfortable shoe to wear all day.

Here’s what makes Senja so comfortable:

  • Feels like cashmere: Merino wool is a fine wool (opposed to coarse wool) with a feel comparable to cashmere.
  • They slip on: Senja shoes slip on and hug your feet for a snug, confident, and controlled fit.
  • They’re flexible: A slight stretch and flexible materials mean your feet aren’t fighting tension in the shoes.
  • Socks optional: Senja can be worn with or without socks.
  • Breathable: Senja’s breathable and moisture-wicking interior prevent sweat buildup.

4. Take them anywhere

Senja Shoes are flexible and durable, so they easily fit in a backpack or gym bag without risking damage. They are lightweight and durable even in harsh weather, so they can be tied to a carabiner or a strap to save room inside your bag itself.

To wash them, just give a quick rinse with a hose or under the faucet. They are stain-proof and rinse clean in a few seconds.

5. Temperature Regulated

The interior of the shoe is made of Merino wool: a high-performance fabric and insulating material. This keeps your feet cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. So you can just as effectively wear these sneakers in the snow without your feet freezing over, or to the beach without getting them sweaty.

6. Allergen and Odor-Free

Merino wool is hypoallergenic and antibacterial. Its antimicrobial fibers eliminate bacteria, mold, fungus, viruses, and mites on contact. Bacteria and fungus are the primary causes of shoe odors.

7. Make a Difference

Wearing eco-friendly shoes like Senja can make a difference. Senja consumes fewer resources during manufacturing, and because they’re so versatile, you can use them for a bunch of different activities.

So, instead of needing 4 pairs of shoes for your active lifestyle, you might only need 2. That can save you money and prevent unwanted emissions.

Senja shoes are available at special pre-launch pricing of 37% off at senjashoes.com. That’s about $75 in savings if you order this month.

    • That’s a good point, I guess Senja’s view is that they don’t directly harm any animals in the process of making the shoes if the farming is indeed sustainably practiced.
