If you follow us on our van life adventures or general shenanigans on Instagram and YouTube, then you’ll know we love drinking coffee. I mean, we specifically designed our camper van so that we can take our full-blown espresso machine with us on road trips – now that’s dedication to the coffee cause!
If you’re health nuts like us and are interested in learning about the cleanest, low-acidity coffee beans (and ground coffee) that we have reviewed yet, read our Fabula Coffee review next – their medium roast coffee is delicious!
So when Javy sent us some Javy Concentrated coffee to try, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a coffee than can be prepared in 10 seconds.
Could this convenient solution to high-quality coffee on the go, actually be viable for someone who loves the art, and taste of traditional espresso coffee so much?
In this Javy Coffee review, I’m going to be answering some key questions about this Javy Coffee concentrate product including what is Javy coffee concentrate, who is it for, is it any good, how to use it properly, and ultimately is it worth buying.
I’ve also included a video review at the bottom of this post, along with where to buy Javy coffee.

What is Javy Coffee Concentrate?
Javy coffee concentrate is essentially a super-strong coffee made from a very slow extraction process using only water.
This drip process is very pure and by the end of it you get 100% pure coffee that is highly concentrated.
Javy then bottles this liquid coffee concentrate, and you can then use it in microdoses mixed with water or a milk of your choice.
So, Javy coffee is a very convenient way to take coffee with you on the go, and at the time of writing this review, this particular microdose coffee is available in four different flavors (check on Amazon to see if a new flavor has been added):
- Original, which is only coffee flavor
- French vanilla
- Mocha
- Caramel
I don’t have the caramel flavor to test, so I haven’t tasted that one, but I’m sure it’s very tasty because my experience with the other three flavors so far has been very good.
Who is Javy Coffee for?
One of the many great things about Javy coffee is how convenient it is. Depending on how you actually want to drink your cold brew coffee this bottle and some access to water would be all you need on the go – and a cup to drink from of course.
You can mix this concentrated liquid coffee with water, or a milk of your choice.
I’ve been drinking it with oat milk, as it tastes really nice and creamy, and for me, this feels like the purest way to have a cold brew coffee like this (rather than adding more other ingredients).
Now, I traditionally love to have espresso coffee, so I’ve got an espresso coffee machine at home and also one in my DIY campervan as well.
So I really wasn’t sure what to expect from a product like this, that can make you a coffee in about 10 seconds because I’m so used to making a coffee that takes about 5 minutes, latte art included ;).
I’m pleased to report however that Javy Coffee is a very tasty concentrated coffee that makes great cold-brewed coffee, very quickly.
Literally, I just put a teaspoon of this coffee concentrate in a glass with some ice and oat milk (or water) and stir it in – and moments later, you’ve got your refreshing, tasty coffee.
So I’m really impressed, and I wasn’t expecting much from this product if I’m being honest. I just wasn’t expecting it to be tasty, but I was pleasantly surprised.
So back to the people who this product might actually be for then – I think it’s for anyone who is on the move a lot and has a very active lifestyle.
They don’t want to have to purchase or store all the heavy machinery that comes with making traditional espresso coffee.
Javy coffee would also be great for those who enjoy road trips, and definitely, people who enjoy van life.
This is a tiny six-ounce bottle that’s not going to take much space up in an RV or your camper van – so it’s super convenient with regards to how little space is required to store it.
It’s really for anyone who wants a refreshing cold brew coffee and doesn’t want to have to faff around with all that machinery that comes with espresso coffee, or cold drip coffee, for that matter.
Is Javy concentrated coffee any good?
Well, yes, I answered that a bit earlier – It’s really tasty. It looks like this (above) when I make it.
I like to put one teaspoon of Javy concentrated coffee in a Ball jar with about eight ounces of oat milk. Add some ice, stir it up and you’re done!
I don’t want my coffee super strong and I don’t like to add sweeteners, or sugar to my coffee either because I drink coffee every day and I just don’t want lots of processed sugar in my diet.
There are plenty of Javy Coffee recipes out there on the internet but I like how this product is so fast and simple to use – to me that’s a huge selling point.
So making a coffee this way tastes great as it is and it’s a really easy way to make your morning coffee.
We’re also coming into summer here in California, so having a nice cold coffee like this is a refreshing alternative to a hot espresso coffee.
How much caffeine is actually in Javy Coffee?
Well, if you’re drinking one teaspoon then there is about 60mg of caffeine in that serving.
So that’s the equivalent to the standard one cup of coffee, which is about 6oz of coffee.
It’s really nice to have a comparative equivalent amount of caffeine so you know what you’re getting from one teaspoon and I kind of like that.
How long does a 6oz bottle like this last? In terms of shelf life, and servings
Well, an unopened bottle recently purchased will last six months un-refrigerated but once you open the bottle, however, it will last around four to six weeks and you will need to refrigerate it, once opened.
You can get 30 servings from one 6oz bottle so depending on how often you drink a cold brew coffee, a bottle could last you 30 days assuming you have 1 coffee a day.
I recommend trying Javy for yourself and seeing how many Javy coffees you have a day before switching to a subscription, which will save you a lot of money in the long run.
Where can you buy Javy Coffee?
The best place to buy Javy Coffee is on Amazon, as they stock all the flavors and are able to deliver very quickly.
You can also get 15% off with Amazon’s subscribe and save feature but I recommend trying the coffee first to be sure you enjoy it.
